Vibration and lots of hot oil present. Put a couple of drops of motor oil on the threads and tighten it up firmly.

stray pieces of anything getting into the oil circuit, so
stay away from RTV or Teflon anywhere inside you engine.

I've seen lots of clogged jets and flooding over a tiny piece of pipe tape.

I read of some using blue Loctite but pipe dope does as good or better without sticking them to the housing. Just don't try to play little Dutch boy trying to plug the dike by using too much of it.
