They look 10-12" wide to me. 3600 Nice Looking Wheels/Tires

I think the company is WHEEL VINTEQUES.

I can explain it to you, I can't understand it for you.

Looking at the other pics of it, I notice the truck is not stock, and would not be surprised if the rear has been changed out to a later 5 lug along with the front axle being swapped as well.

They just look wider than 10" to me on the Mecum site. These are the widest Coker has. Hollow...looking on wheelvintiques also. Not as easy to move around. Coker Link

Those tires on the Mecum site look larger than 15's to me. How do you guys size these things out without having to deal with returns on these big parts? Coker 285x15 tires

They definitely aren't 12", they just have a small backspace so they look wider. They could be running those 285's, but if you're wanting to run those on your 48, I wouldn't want to steer it in a parking lot with an 11" wide tire if you don't have power steering. It would also cause it to want to wander quite a bit on the road as well. I'm thinking they're probably 8's with a 265 or so. Here is what you asked for, but I don't think that will give you the look you want without a custom offset. I also think you'll have a hard time fitting 10" wheels in there without modification, unless you don't mind them hanging out of the fender. I'm running the same size tire as that 285/70 on 10" wheels on the back of mine, and my dad has those 285/70 BFG tires on the back of his '52 Chevy on 10" wheels. Both are tubbed for clearance, but they're also both lower as well. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,084 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,084 | You may be right Colin. Seeing your setup puts things in perspective. They certainly don't appear as wide as yours in the rear. Few questions...are yours 15" wheels? What size are you running on the front? Where did you get yours?

All the wheels were custom built reversed with my custom offsets by Wheel Vintiques. I don't know the front tire size off hand, I think they're a 225 or 215, I can get that tonight. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 222 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 222 | I do not believe that truck has a standard rear end in it. The normal rear end has a floating axel that sticks out farther than the moon hubcap. I would check it out before you buy anything. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | That's what I was thinking, too. Just looking at some of the other alterations from stock on that truck, and considering that there isn't much in the line of a description of what it does/does not have on the site, I would question just how much underneath is truly stock to a 3600.
