It has a 10 spline shaft and says "C91894" on tranny by the base of the shaft. Towards the top on the right hand side it says "C95871C". And on the left hand (driver) side on the side of the pto cover it reads "o43586 GL92" and underneath that it reads "8 7 68 540". By the way it is a 5 speed and was bolted to a GMC 248. Thanks in advance. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy 48 bigbolt, I think your tranny has been swapped in somewhere along the line, a picture would be worth a thousand numbers, one clue may be the last set of numbers you posted, could be a New Process 540 with the case cast on July eighth 1968, but that is just a guess. | | |
