The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Doors Help !!!!!!

First off, I would like to say what a great site. A lot of info here and some slick cats. Anyway, I am currently restoring a '56 1 1/2 ton stake truck. Last week at work I took here right down to the frame. Removing 48 year old grease (fun), stripping loads of paint, and replacing brke lines. I will be working on the doors pretty soon, and they are in bad shape, The pillars are all craked up and there is some rust. Does anybody know if they make skins for these doors ?

Jason - welcome to the garage! lotta good info here, and the links page is agold mine of places to check for good repop parts - the swap meet [where ya hafta register separately, tho' can use same name etc] also is a good place for wanted ads

that said, for the TaskForce trucks there is a patch made for the lower 6" or so of the door skin, and excellent quality complete new door shells are also available now - check the sponser at top of any page here, and lots of other vendors have'em, if there's any closer to yer hide out - there's also patch panels for the lower hinge pockets, and various others

good luck w/ that heavy hauler, and get some pics up for us to have a look at - we all like pictures!
