Did the 49 1/2 tons come out of the factory with visible rivets on the outside of rear fenders? Both fenders have perfectly matched holes for the fender brace but it's hard to believe that the fenders didn't have a smooth exterior finish out of the factory.
Yes, All AD pickups had those rivets, you can get the exact replacements from Big flats rivet co for cheap. You can google then online. They are hollow or tubular rivets 3/16" diameter shank with a 3/8" head and 5/16" long or so.
