My side vent lever was held in place by sliding through a slot in a thick piece of felt. It was shot so I replaced it with some boot felt which doesn't work.

Anyone know where to get the original type felt? Or another idea?

Thanks!!

Mine is held in place by the springiness of the handle held against a detent in the side panel. Perhaps yours is differant?

I found replacement pads at either Chevy Duty or LMC, I forgot which. However, they are available. The replacements did make a difference.

Mine has two springs attached to the vent door hinges. Like the kind that are on your door hinges.

Thanks!! I saw the springs but can't tell what's wrong with them at this time. I think I'll continue holding the lever closed with duct tape until it warms up. Thanks, again.
