If you want & like a 54 cab but like the early front sheet metal then do it. It is YOUR truck && the trucks that went down under to Australia was a mixed of the late & earlycabs & sheet metal....joe

It's been done many times before and if it saves another truck it's fine by me. To be honest most average,dare I say 'uneducated' folks probably wont even notice.

I am close to being a purist with my trucks, but that is a personal preference. If that combination does not look ridiculous to you, do what you like.
