I took off the moulding on my '64 fleetside, and am not planning on reinstalling.

What is the best way to fill the holes where the clips were?

Appreciate any help.

Plug weld them!
Body filler won't hold up and unless you can seal the the backside it will rust through.
When plug weld, use a brass backing until you fill the hole, then remove.
Aluminum backing works also.

What are you going to do with the old trim? Looks like it's in fair shape.

Kicks, thanks for the advice...

The trim is in poor shape. Picture doesn't really show it. Must have been bent when removed, bent back...and then PO used silicone and filler, then remounted with lots of little sheet metal screws and rivets. A real hodge-podge.

Wasn't too much worth salvaging, and some more damage was done by me. Maybe the little pointy pieces on the front fenders and one of the large bed strips could be used. Thats about all though.

Thanks again.
