I've set up my bed and running boards, everything is in the correct location but one of my rear fenders is a little over 1" short of reaching the running board. I can bolt it together and it looks fine, but that's putting some pressure on the fender. Is that pressure okay, or should I attempt to do something with the fender? I'm concerned about pulling it together and flexing it after paint. It does look like the fender shape is fine though.

Are you sure your bed is not racked? Or that the fender
isn't bent at the front?
I wouldn't want to put that much stress on the toe of the fender
for fear of developing cracks down the road. They usually develop
cracks there anyway even when it was a factory fit.

Check to see if your bed is square by measuring diagonally across the front and rear bed corners. The measurements should be the same. Don't ask me what to do to bring it back to square. You can figure that out and come back and tell me something new. smile

There is "slop" in the fender mounting holes. Try loosening the fender for easier alignment.
