| | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 92 Member | | Member Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 92 | Never been really thrilled with any of Mcguirs polishing products, but my paint shop man said to try this. reason being over the winter my truck was out of the garage for awhile and the metallic paint seemed to get hazy.In the past Ive used stuff from Kit and 3M which I was never really tickled with,but this Final Cut#2 from Mcguirs really works. you rub it on with a rag, it is very liquid based and let it set for a few minutes and using a orbital buffer it shines like it has clear coat on it,just a comment about a product that does actually work good.

I have said for years that if they made televisions I would buy one. I even sold agaisnt them and personally never even tried if there was Meguires in the shop, it was no hope.
Try the color sanding paper, it is twice the cost of 3M but MANY more times as good. The "Power compound" I think it is called is the best I have ever used, a table spoon will do a panel, it is really good stuff.

Back in the late eighties, I used their wax and a product they included with their wax called a "clear coat restorer". I used it, per directions, and it promptly removed large sections of my clear coat. It is making it look like a clear coat was applied and i didnt add one.
