I'd like to change to an auto maybe a GM 200 overdrive.

Do I need to modify the floor for the tranny?

Thanks

Honestly, I never owned a burb, but I can tell you the floor doesn't need to be modified in a 1/2 - 3/4 ton pickup. And since the drive line in those would be the same as yours, adapting a GM200 should not be a problem. Where are you getting your tranny adapter? just curious as there are more available than years ago.

I'm not familiar with the term GM200, but if you are referring to a TH200-4R you will need to modify the floorboard.

TH200-4R in a '54 GMC.
