My '34 1.5 ton has a '52 235 engine hooked up to a same period SM420. I am looking at a '33 207 motor to put into my '34. My question is will a '33 or '34 motor bolt up to a SM420, or will I need to find an original 3 speed transmission? There does not appear to be any modifications to the truck for the current '52 motor and trans. Is the 207 and the 216/235 block the same size? Is the Sm420 the same size as the original trans? There is currently no fan installed, and there does not look to be enough room for one. Also the hand crank hole is blocked by the radiator leading me to believe it is not the correct radiator.

My thinking is the clutch housing isn't going to fit the 207 and the SM420 probably won't fit the original housing of a 207.
