A running truck is not required. There will be nearly 200 trucks in the show to look at to get ideas. There will be dozens of Stovebolters to visit with and exchange ideas. There are lots of interesting things to do and see in KC.
Pack up your things and treat the little lady to a fun weekend in a foreign city.
Like cletis said come to the show cause you don't need a truck to come. Heck my project has NEVER shown up at the show, but I have several times in my late model chevy suv. A lot of us go just to see all the cars/trucks (depending on the show), eat the food, enjoy the day, meet new friends & see a bunch of old ones.
Personally we hadn't gone to this show in about 5yrs or so & hadn't been to a car show in almost 10yrs. We fell off the face of the Earth. But after a friend invited me to go to a local show the bug bit me again. The bonus was I was pleasantly surprised to see a bunch of old friends who wanted to know what happened & where I had been.
Soooo, my own advice is...............
If you want to have a great time w/a bunch of folks who love the same hobby as you, you couldn't meet a better bunch of great people as you will when this group of folks get together....joe
