Now that my valve problems may be solved, here is another one.

Every Chev I've ever had with three on the tree has spent some time stuck between gears (except my first car, a 1938 coupe with stock floor shift). Yes, the bushings are good and everything is tight.

I remember, back in the late fifties, every rod magazine had lots of ads for twenty buck floor shift conversions. I've got the parts for a conversion that is believed to be for a '50 but no instruction sheets. If anyone has installation instructions they could forward to me, it would save lots of time underneath with a camera.

Thanks Guys, Bill Stewart

I went tree to floor back to the tree. Shifts like a dream because I spent a couple 8 hour days and fabrication to get it right. Do some reading, the floor shift is not a bolt on and go as it puts the shifter too close to your thigh. Some people are working on a solution. Do a review of my posts to see a floor shift conversion that ended up in the middle of the floor in a comfortable position.

Cosmo
