I had to submerge mine in a penetrating oil for a good month for it to even turn. Through out the month, I would turn it just enough both ways so that it will extend and retract. Now it is good to go. If you need to have it rebuilt; Tech Tips have a pretty good write up. Rebuild the windshield crank for your 1939 to 1946 truck If you go with a vender, don't forget American Classic Truck Parts that is to the left of the page and Bowtie Bits. Bread .
