I have a Rochester 1bbl carb that always leaks around the fuel filter housing. The original gasket was one of those thin metal round rings. The rebuild is a round gasket style.

Has anyone else run into issues with the filter dripping from the carb (not the fuel line side)? Any good fixes? Seems to keep leaking even with a replacement gasket.

Sounds like you may have a crack in the carb. Time to get out the magnifying glass.

Thanks Carl...

I do not think it is a crack in the carb, only because it stops leaking when I replace the little round gasket... then about a month or so later, it starts to leak again. I could be wrong, but I am hoping I am right. Thanks for the information.

Does anyone know where I can get more fuel filter ring gaskets besides from a rebuild kit?
