People get fooled into thinking that it is heavier because of the compound curves, think egg shells. DG

So you may see some variance, some likely caused by the forming process used at the factory. Some of the structural members (floor brace, running board brackets, etc) may be a thicker metal, 16 or 14 ga. But for most of your repairs, 18 ga cold rolled steel will take care of it. | | |
