This one was located in the wiring leading to the heater, and there was another one somewhere behind the dash front Back | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | 12v to 6v converter/reducer (is that a mounting post) ?

I've just never seen one like that (until now). Is there a way to test to see if they are still good, before re-using or replacing them? If it reads 6v it's good. I wouldn't hold it in my hand while testing it though. It bleeds off the current as heat.

There was one going to the gas gauge (which wasn't working at the time of wires being torn out). I'll get these things checked within the next few days (hopefully) and I'll report back with any findings! | | |
