Hey All

Im trying to figure out how the cowl vent handle attaches to the actual cowl vent.

16.130 handle attaches to the dash - got it
16.135 link - this is where i am confused
two questions
does the link bolt to the handle? it sort of is a pressed fit with teeth to keep it from slipping, but probably needs a bolt to hold it together

but most importantly, how does the link attach to the actual vent? the exploded view manual doesnt specify.

any help is most appreciated

is there a bracket that mounts to the actual cowl vent? there seems to be two threaded holes in the vent on each end.

I think I figured it out, there is a broken bracket on the vent itself.
see additional picture I added to the album.
