The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Panels 'N Burbs Headliner Stiffener Braces?

Anyone know how many and where the headliner stiffener braces go? My current thought is 8. These would have been on top of the headliner running perpendicular to the cross pieces with little push pins stuck through the headliner sections to help hold them up. Most likely when the headliner came down they were pitched with the headliner and not replaced with the new headliner, which would then fall after a couple years on the road without them. Here's a picture of the one's we've scrounged up.

Thanks for posting the photo.

Someone posted photos of those buttons/strips in-place, but I cannot find the post.

What are the lengths of the strips, and the hole-to-hole distances?

Would you please take a few closer-up photos of the strips (top and bottom) and some dimensions (and post the thickness of the metal)?

My guess is that the strips have turned-up edges on the long sides?

There is an oldGMCtrucks.com member (in Springfield, MA) with an "all original" New Design Suburban (maybe the head liner panels are original). I'll contact him for info about his headliner.

If you will be fabricating sets of those strips to sell through Mongo's Garage, please let us know.

I found some low resolution pics where we could see the pins but I'd like to find some better (High resolution one's) for reference.
Yes, have got some sets made and the first one went out to Canada this week. Here's what the final sets look like.
