Got the Chevy cab on the '43 GMC CCKW chassis this weekend with the help of my incredible wife Toni. We moved the frame over 6' with come alongs and rolled it outside the shop. We chain falled the cab on and it fit beautiful. Did all this in 3 hours. Lots of modifications to the two cabs as Chevy and GMC cab mounts are different. Looks real different now. My Brother Baldybenny has the 292 Chevy for complete rebuild....can't wait. Cab on more pics inside my Photobucket, of course the cab will be painted to match the chassis, this is just a fit up run.....Rick

Way to go. I can visualize how that baby is going to look. Bad to the bone!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

It takes an awful big dog to weigh a ton.

Thanks Monk!...you never know what it will look like exactly until the major components get put on. Way better than I imagined.

WetWilly, I've seen that Vid, hauling around about a ton and a half of steel with a whole set of duals blown out, lol, I love these old Jimmies.

Thank you kindly 3B, your observation concerning the 292 engine mounts saved me a lot of time and possible embarrassment, thank you again my friend. Toni has been instrumental in working on this truck, we make a really great team.....she works smarter than me.........Rick.
