Hello-
I'm in the process of installing the three chrome strips on each side of the hood of my 46' Chevrolet pickup. Could someone help me with there placement? Should the ends all line up or were they offset at an angle because of the slight angle of the strip ends?
If you have a 46' also could you tell me where the middle one starts in relationship to the distance from the rivet
that holds the locking mechanism on the back. Thank you.

Yes, I do have the holes in the side pieces, but I'm looking for an exact position that they may have been installed at the factory. I was thinking that someone may have an unrestored vehicle that could help me out. Thanks.

did you look at the linked gallery pictures? the trim strips are aligned with an even amount past each end of the louvers, restored or unrestored

Red58-

I did look at the photos and thanks for sending them. I think I am in the ballpark as far as positioning, but I can't see from the photos if the end of the strip is angled up or down.

I don't see [or recall] any angle on the trims, maybe a bit of angle on the louvers - just like from the ad Drew posted, maybe you don't have the correct trims?

They slope with the hood louvers. I put mine back in the same location they were removed. I could tell by the clip stains on the back sides. Iam on the road and can,t give you a measurment. Who knows but I bet they were done by eye back then. These were work trucks.
