New member, first posting. I am clueless about how to do this and will be surprised if it works.

Here gos. I want to paint my '41 pickup the original factory color of brewster green. I have no idea where to get a formula for this so that the paint people can mix it for me. And if I do, will it be only for enamel or will the formula work for today's paint. Sorry, I know allmost nothing about any of this.

Hi Tom, you dont want a formula, what you need is the paint code.

Brewster green is still available in most paint lines, but not all. It depends on which brand you go with.

The actual GM paint code for Brewster green is 267, If that number doesnt come up, try the Dupont number which is 93-2015.

searching for Lechler reveals it as a European paint producer, you might find a chip from them that visually matches what you want, but doubt they'll have any info on vintage US trucks grin

haven't heard of a "Regal Maroon", and it's not listed here .... but here's other 51 colors

I was able to get a paint in Omni from my local shop last week to match the Cape Maroon of the 49 Trucks if you are interested. The original codes are no longer available

Cape Maroon for 1952 Chevrolet trucks.

PPG can match that code in OMNI or DCC/Concept or other lines of PPG paint.
How to contact the PPG Color Library is in this Tech Tip

That might be available in Glasurit or SpiesHecker also.

Glasurit still has some of the old GM truck colors available.

I have a pint of Brewster Green that I mixed myself in 55 Line.
