The old ones are squashed near flat and badly cracked. I will be reassembling all the sheet metal to check for fit, before taking apart again for paint. I am considering making these bushings myself or buying locally, if possible.

They should be wood not rubber. The factory used wood blocks between the cab & frame.
I beleive Jim carters sells them. http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/cart/index.asp?cat2=9665&path=1934+-+1946+Truck+Parts%2FCab+Related+Parts%2FCab+Mount+Kits

There was a spring, bolt, thick steel washer and a rubber bushing/ washer at the cab rear. I have photos of these before removal and the parts afterward I'll post a link for later. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 1,123 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 1,123 | Here is a photo of the hardware mounting the cab to frame.
