Might seam like a funny question, but the LED's are expensive, and there's Chinese in there now.Are they 1156 or 1157? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | Original? I've seen a bunch of different sites that list LED's but haven't been able to find one that gives a direct cross over to replace the incandescent, like the 63, 81, 1129. How does the candle power stack up to the incandescent? If you use an 81 to replace a 63 Richard, and it's twice as bright then wouldn't it be about as bright as the stop light and would you be able to see the stoplight when applied???
And what sort of problems are you going to run into with your turn signals if replacing the incandescent with an LED??? It would be nice to see all this info pulled together into some sort of logical order.

Any white out issues with the tail/stop lights? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 18 | No real problem with white out. There is some white light leakage around the edge of the bezel but it is minor. The brake lights are bright and red when they come on and quite obvious to following motorists as being brake lights. Much better than the stock bulbs that were barely visable during the day. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | Yes
I'm definetly in the led camp. I'm 12v and we have better options with the leds in the lenses

Not even close. If you use the #1129 as the stop light you'll have 8cp + 21cp for a total of 29cp for the brake light when you have the lights on. 21cp when you don't have them on. When the headlights are on and you apply the brakes the tail light filament stays lit. And would you be able to see the stoplight when applied??? Only if you have your eyes open.
