Hey Folks,
New guy here..
I am trying to replace the bushings in my clutch and brake pedals. I got the clutch one off but can't see what has to be removed to get the brake pedal off the assembly that bolts to the bell housing. Is it pressed, allen socket, or ??
Thanks in advance.

Troy,

Welcome, and good to see another early Chevy in NC.

Both pedals should slide off of the shaft from the end that bolts to the bellhousing. The round collar on the shaft has a roll pin, but removal is not necessary.

Hi Paul,
Once I got the assembly off the truck and scraped 20 years of crude off it I found and removed a roll pin that allow me to drive the larger pin/rod out freeing the brake pedal. The clutch pedal did slide off the end off the free end. Replaced the bushings and all is well, except for now having to rebuild a master cylinder. Of course this is only the beginning of my journey.
Where in WNC do you live? I am just north of Asheville.

Tried to send pm but got message saying they are disabled. In my preferences and profile I don't see how to fix that. Any help....anyone?

Until you've had 4 posts approved, you cannot use PM. This was your fourth approved post, so PM should work for you now. You can also now create a signature (My Stuff/Edit Profile) as well as use HTML and UBB for links and quoting, etc.
