Putting together a 1964 K20+ 1964 c10 body + 1977 K20/C6P

I'm mounting a 350 engine to 1964 K20 Frame
the 77 K20 had 350 transmission with 203 transfer.

How can I mount a 700r4 4sp/OD to 203 Transfer?
need to find output shaft and spacer

The 350 CID was rebuilt with Vortec heads Elderbroc performer intake and Elderbroc performer Cam.

Now I would like to change the Transmission to an OverDrive from my 1992 S10 4wd 700r4 transmission .

We mounted the 77 K20 Axles and added Warn hubs.

May have another option of getting a 700r4 and transfer already mated but don't know the price yet, if it is to expensive I'll try using what I have.

Help and advice is always appreciated. Does anyone see any troubles that I'm facing.

Does the 203 still have the transfer case adapter that was bolted to it.
This is the adapter that goes between the transmission & the transfer case.
If the 203 was bolted to a TH350, it should work.
The TH350 & the 700R4 use the same transfer case adapters.

I'm not sure? The 1977 was K20/C6p 350cid,th350 trans (3sp auto)203 full time 4wd straight hup.

The trans mission end (?separaate bolted section?)bolts to transfer plate mount to crossmember then to transfer.

parts guy says possible need adapter and shaft for 700r4 (4sp Auto) out of 1992 S10 but doesn't have info.

Don't know anyone who has done this, but want to give my truck the best economy.

Have Done 350cid, Vortec heads, Elderbrock performer Manifold and Cam. Changed Carrier, Ring and Pinion from 4:76 to 3:73. Going to run 31" Coopers.

Also How do I figure out Speedo to 1964 Gauges?

Basically this is what I got and not a huge pile of money to dig from. The Chevrolet converted from a GMC was my beater in the 80's and always said that that and a hi lift jack I could go anywhere.

I'm not going to dispute whether or not there is any better but this is what I have. I have a 4sp auto OD in my 92 S10, The transfer is wrong side so I cannot use.
I'm in Maine and won't do no Bajas but it is a road machine and winter 4wd and snow plow and towing my tractor some.

If you could describe what is the weak point of a 203 transfer so I can ensure that it is well prepared before installation, I would appreciate it.

But I may have a chance on a 700r4/w4spOD trans if the price is right but cannot spend to much if I want to complete this project to have a running vehicle in a month.

Why dont you just use the one from the S/10 & use a different transfer case.

A 700R4 is a 700R4 doesnt matter what it came out of as long as it's not from a 2 wheel drive.

All you need is the correct adapter to bolt it to the 4 bolt holes on the tail of transmission.

There is a good chance the adapter is still bolted to your 203, and you just don't realize it, Ive made that mistake before, it can easily be mistaken to be part of the transfer case.

if it is you should be able to bolt it directly to the 700R4. The 350 uses the same adapter.
