I know the frames are different on the farmtruck versus the half ton but are the cabs and front clips the same between the farm truck and the half ton

any model could be a "farm truck", the 3100 is a 1/2T, the 3600 is a 3/4T .... the chassis difference is primarily in springs, wheels, and rear axle, not the "frame" itself, which are just different lengths .... all conventional cabs of a year are identical, and the front clips are the same 1/2T to 1T

Frame is much different Bill. 9/64" vs. 3/16" thickness and
taller by close to 1/8". Although the front looks the same,
the 3600 frame is very narrow in the back compared to the 3100.

Also the cross members are quite a bit different with the 3600
using a center support bearing in it's drive shaft
and no support at the rear of the transmission.
