For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | Looking at vendor catalogs - appears that there are two basic approaches. The old way looks closer to factory construction. The new way looks easier and costs less than 1/2 the price. Has anyone bought the folded toeboard version of these patch panels? Can anyone comment on either peices good or bad? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 24 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 24 | I did it the new way and it worked out nice. Like you said it is less expensive. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | I orderd the old style because of the metal gauge. the new style is not as heavy as the old style. The new rockers are not as heavy as the old style but they have the correct bends in them. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 587 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 587 | I used the old style, but either the new was not out yet or I was not aware of it. Be sure to notice that the old style is missing a number of holes that are supposed to be there, specifically, the starter pedal and high beam switch holes. Be sure to save the old metal to use as a template to place the holes yourself. | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | Thanks . . . this is the kind of feedback I was looking for.
