Problem is bolt pattern on bell hsg does not match tranny. The tranny pilot hole is the same dia. so the tranny will fit up but not bolt up. Can I drill the hsg to fit the tranny bolt pattern? Don't know of any other way to make the matchup. Thoughts or concerns will be appreciated

It looks to me like you need a 1938-39 pass bellhousing for your 1937 pass with a later 235.
