where do I find info on a 292.Specification like head torque and pattern, bearing spec. piston ring spec. torque specs. etc

I found a good GM rebuild manual for this series of engines on Ebay. You should also check out www.inliners.org. The 292 and 250 seem to be favorites there. This is a good book if you're thinking about souping it up. It's devoted entirely to the 292 L6.

I second the motion on that book i have it. It does not go into the 235 or 261 but like mentioned its goes into the 292.
