What years in the 30's and 40's are the rear truck fender the same?

TC: The first link won't come up. Want to know what all the donors would be for 1/2T and all that fit 1/2T. Covering 39-47. Thank You

bartamos,

Try it again. I think it works now.

Good luck. You'll have to use those series codes to get your answer, but I think you'll get your answer.

I see it is series EP,FP,GP, KP, H but those are not listed in part no. list and none of the part no's are the same for different years? It can't be all fenders different? just diff part no's? Not sure what I'm seeing. How do I tell if the actual fender is the same? Just to restate what I'm looking to figure out: What donors will fit what years re: rear fenders. 41 same as 46? 38 same as 42? etc. for 1/2T

in the parts book, all 39-46 series Jx, Kx, Bx, Ax Cx, Dx, 'single unit' [non-dually] models, have the same fenders listed, 599121 & 599122 .... short answer: no different numbers for rear fenders, all 39-46 light truck rears the same, $14.20 at your local dealer grin

EP = 1947 1/2 ton COMM truck
FP = 1948 " "
GP = 1949 " "
KP = 1952 " "
H = ?

You indicated 30s and 40s, but show no codes prior to 1947 (Advance-Design).

All 1/2-ton through 1-ton A-D rear fenders are the same for pickup-style fenders (and panel-style fenders are the same 47-55st).

40-46 fenders differ from other years - check the codes, but COMMercial/trucks are same for many models

The above fenders would be different from 30s fenders. I have not looked up the 30s codes.

don't need to look anything up beyond the master parts page you linked Tim, it specifies 39-46 with the whole list of light truck models for those years as one part number

A buddy went thru this exercise last winter. He is hard core "keep it original". He (we) learned that; yes the 39-46 fenders will fit. But, they are not the same. The fender braces on '46 models are on top center. At least some of the earlier ones have the braces mounted about half way between top center and rear bottom. Based on the rust thru on these top center versions it would have best to keep that brace lower so drainage would be better?

It would not have been a deal buster for me, since many of these were built from the factory using parts from earlier years, in some cases. Besides, who would know about the different brace placement, except maybe him and a small number of others? But, to him ("keep it original") the deal was "no dice".

In addition to the post 1941 fenders having a different brace placement, I have also noticed that they have two additional bolt holes to hold the fender to the bedside. These later fenders also have a piece of sheet metal welded to the flange on the rear underside to reinforce it.
