Got in the truck yesterday, no brake lights..lucky find, I just happened to look for them. Power for the brake switch was broken at the connector. Easy to fix and glad I found it. So, back in the truck to run errands. Nothing...WT#...you know what I mean. Key on, key off...headlights on..every thing is good. Truck starts and off I went. Little voice in the back of my head.."you is gonna have trouble". Got done and 5 more starts and I am home. So today I go to a friends house about 15 miles. All is good until I stop in front and...yep all is dead. No lights, no radio, no start, no nothing. No movement on the ammeter. Hum...So where to start? I went with the battery cause..well I had nothing and that is where it all starts. Battery, Good. 12.5 volts. Pull the cables, ground strap, check. Positive to starter...corroded under the insulation. Too bad it was a nice fat 6 volt cable. Replaced it in under 15 minutes and was back to good. Oh yeah, that little voice in the back of my head...quiet now.
