Can anyone help?

Is a restoration ever finished? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 20 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 20 | I have the same model of radio, but mine came with the speaker mounted on top of the radio in its own bracket. I had to remove it from this position as the speaker would hit the headlights switch, I'll try tomorrow to see if it will fit in the cover or not...
Also, didn't have any of the brackets to mount it. So, I made custom brackets for the front which work fine, But I have no clue as to what to hook the back bolt that comes out the back of the radio to. I was going to hook it to the fire wall, but didnt think that was the most convenient to hook to. Any ideas on this?

Look at my photos & you will find a drawing of the bracket you need with dimensions. Very easy to make.

I am currently making the bracket for the back of the radio, however I am still confused as to what I am supposed to attach it to. ~Ryan | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 | It's almost like it needs a 'sky hook' (sorry old Navy term for a mystery place to attach things). Really there is an odd length of angle iron of sorts that runs across and above the radio to mount it to. I'll try and find some pics of how I did mine. I may have to just email these pics as I'm just starting a new photo hosting site, not going well.

Install the radio below the dash to the left of the steering wheel with an L-shaped bracket on each side of the radio up front and a slightly bent bracket from the stud on back of the radio to the end of the wishbone (radiator support)rod that extends thru the firewall.
