What is the going rate (price) for a non-working versus a working.....or restored AD truck radio? I'm seeing prices that are outrageous on E-Bay and some bidder is running up the bid prices on both non-working and working radios beyond what I think is a reasonable price. So....my question.

The prices are outrageous at times. I think vendors like Jim Carter sell the restored radios for around $450 and you would think that would put a cap or downward pressure on the prices asked for unrestored radios. At one time, a complete unrestored radio that needed a complete facelift would go for over $400 on Ebay. Since the recession I think the prices have moderated. Those bidders that you talk about must be counting on a big demand some day when the supply dries up. I have seen what you are talking about.

I guess I stole mine at $100 in excellent working condition. Suppose I should now "up" the value of my truck!! It is crazy no matter what. Some people are trying to make a living doing this I guess.

Its a Canadian model, maybe that makes it less desirable. It came with a 50 GMC I had last year, not
installed, so have not tried to power it up. Here's a few pics, not sure how to make them work on this site.

That radio is for a vehicle of the forties. It is a Canadian radio and I think it may fit several applications. If you look at the dial, the numbers go up from right to left. There would be a different application with a different dial glass where the numbers go from left to right with the radio inverted.
