Its not super heavy/pitted rust, so I dont think it would take too awful long... my only concern are the rivets. The electrolysis wouldn't soften the bond between the wheel and the rivets would it? Last thing I would want to happen is rivets start popping out as I'm heading down the road... | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | shouldn't be any problem, aside from the fact that the rivets are very tightly 'swedged' into the holes, electrolysis works "line of sight" between the electrodes, it doesn't do much deep between things, where there's not likely to be real corrosion anyway .... it also doesn't do anything to paint or anything under sound paint, so it's a good idea to clean paint off
