Hello, recently I brought my truck in to get a safety inspection and to my disappointment, the mechanic told me that I needed new cab mounts and supports to safety the truck. The floor, rockers and cab corners also needed work so I opted to buy a whole new used cab.

After a little searching on Kijiji, I found a Canadian cab that was ready to go about 4 hours from my place. I had temporary plates on my truck so I measured the length of my cab and it came out to almost exactly 4 feet, the same width as the space between the wheel wells on a fleetside bed...

Taking into mind the angle on the firewall I was very nervous about it fitting. So I drove the old Chevy down to pick it up and made the transaction and then loaded it up. I was very happy to see that the cab fit into the box like a glove! The low hump in the cab fit perfectly around the wheel well and locked it securely into the bed. (I was also happy to see that 2 fit men can easily load the cab by themselves)

Now begins the process of prep and paint and switching everything over to the new cab! Wish me luck bolters!
