Im working on a 40 chevy truck. When i bought it was completely disassembled. I want to "mock up" the front clip(fenders to running boards, fenders to grill shell, and grill shell baffle, grill etc. Need help to find what type of hardware is needed. Thanks

If you're just mocking it up you can use 1/4" bolts, but I'm sure someone else can tell you what is the correct hardware.

CenCal53, I live in Santa Cruz & recently completed most of the steps you are inquiring about on my 37 after painting. I know the grill & fenders are different but I'm pretty sure the bolts are all the same. I don't remember the exact bolt sizes but can pull some of them off & find out for you. You're welcome to come by & see how mine goes together if it may help. I also some of the old bolts that didn't break during disassembly if you need them so you can get correct size replacements. Pm me for my address if you want to come by.

If a 40 is similar to a 37 I think most bolts to attach the fender to the core support are 1/4 20 with two 5/16 or 3/8 carriage bolts to mount the core support to the frame and 4 3/8 bolts to attach the inner fender mounts to the frame.
