I'm seriously contemplating changing over to a 6v solid state regulator for my 50 Chevy truck.
Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

The regular one should work. We used them for years. Some of this after market stuff is not good. Try & find a Delco-Remy original equip. brand. even a used one can be cleaned up & used. They may look rough on the outside but when you take off the cover it is like new.

The service manual talks about how to set it up but no where can I find the model #.
