Can somebody help me out?

Nice job.
But I have a question: where do you get the rubber. I have a steele catalog and it makes NO sense.
I'm guessing cars of the same year (my truck is a 1945 2-ton) had the same frame. But from the few drawings Steele shows (mainly center post size & shape) It looks like they'd call it a 39.

Hello jr
Look under GMC truck in your Steele catalog. Page 323 in the 2003 catalog has what you're looking for. Jim Carter also sells the gasket as I'm sure other venders do. 39-46 are the same for the windshield.

Thanks a million.
Here I am pounding my head when the answer is right here in the same catalog. I just never found the GM truck section.
And thanks to stovebolt for making it possible to get answers to these dumb questions from other restorers who've been there.
