I just purchased a 1951 Chev 3600 10 days ago and just got it in my name and taxes paid 4 days ago.
I bought it from a friend who bought it a year ago and i always liked it. He needed some money so... i paid his reasonable price and now IT'S ALL MINE!!!
It had an older restoration and overall it in good shape. My friend changed the front and rear end to a six bolt wheel set up and took out a few leafs on the springs so thats why it sits lower.
He added modern radials, all new brakes, muffler, carb and some other minor things. It's still a six volt and i will change it to 12 volt later this year.
It does have poor door and hood fit but thats something i can play with.
Its starts, runs and drives fine so i am content to just wash, wax and maintain it for know, and replace a few minor chrome pieces and new valve cover and side panel gaskets and paint the engine.
I have added some pictures and i'm sure i will be asking lots of questions as i dig more into the truck.
This is my second "old vehicle" as i have also owned a 1962 Cadillac convertible for the past 29 years. The two of them together make for a strange pair, one being at the luxury end of the scale and the other, definitly at the utilitarian end, but i like them both very much!!!
Cadee.

YouTube video.

This member was using photobucket, so we used that as an example in the video.

The Method will be the same with any photo hosting site, or even a web address.
The Perfered method is the second one she shows, using the LINK BUTTON next to the smile face.

The video was made to try to keep is simple, its not the only method to link your pics.

As we all know you cannot post pictures directly in the body of a thread.

We must put our pictures on a photo hosting site like ,
Flickr
picasa
photobucket
or others
and Link the photo

Again..., this is just one way to accomplish this.

Welcome Cadee, just wondering whereabouts in Ont you are. It must be a lot of work to change out the rear axle, basically making it into a half ton. This is the place to be if you want to learn more about these old trucks, lots of different forums to ask in. Have fun with it.
