For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2014 Posts: 26 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2014 Posts: 26 | UPS just brought my new seat belts and now I need to know where they get installed on the truck. Anyone know the exact factory location for these? (Were there any factory-installed belts in 1965?) Just want to install them where the factory decided was the best location for the bolts. Don't want to be drilling more holes than needed either! Any help would be appreciated. Any photos of yours installed would even be helpful to me. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 313 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 313 | If you can find a 1966 model, you will be able to find the proper locations on the floor. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 206 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 206 | I have a '65 C20 with seat belts. The brackets are about 1/2" outside of but in line with the rear seat brackets. I don't believe these were factory installed as I think the previous owner put them in. Hope this helps.

If so, I think it would require 6 bolts... maybe this explains your other holes? http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/984/1960accessories103.jpg shows how they went into a 1960... | | | | | Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 25 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 25 | There were seat belts for 3 people. The middle set was anchored to the inner pair of supports along with the inner belt of the driver and other passenger. I haven't gotten this far with my research as to whether this was "factory correct". I do know that at least one set of belts that were in the truck when I bought it are not original to the truck because that pair is a different color than the other pairs. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 2,951 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 2,951 | I apologize for not documenting the seat belt holes well before I sold my 1966 parts truck. The seat belts were factory. Here are the passenger side holes. I think this will get you pretty close, but if you want perfection, then have someone with a 66 C10 make measurements. I've been driving 14 years without belts in my 65

I also needed to get some additional mounting hardware because the center belt didn't include it. Another 15-20 dollars at Menards I think. Have yet to install them! | | | | | Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 568 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 568 | Thanks for the reply. I'll get those ASAP as I've been an idiot for far too long. 700hp and no seat belts... Don't say it, I already know..
