It starts immediately and I have been through four sets of Plugs (10mm Champion, AC and NGK. The latest was Iridium by NGK. I have checked everything including the timing. Does any Stove Bolt'er have any suggestions to make to help me solve the Spark Plug life issues?

There is no reason I can imagine for the HEI system to damage plugs- - - -having that 50KV+ open circuit voltage available will fire a plug with the ground electrode completely removed if necessary, and if the plug is clean and gapped properly, the firing voltage is usually below 10 KV, regardless of what ignition system is used. Gap the plugs at .035"-.045" when using the HEI system.

Are the insulators snow white and blistery looking? What about carburetion? Anything exotic, or just a stock single carb setup?
