Since he wants to use it in parades and things I suggested an upgrade to at least a dual chamber master on it, as I presume it just has a single now. But I'm not that familiar with these big trucks.
What kind of options do I have to go on here? Are there brake parts suppliers for these trucks? | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 1,186 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 1,186 | Nothing wrong with the original setup, I just rebuilt mine. If I stomp on the pedal hard, it will throw you through the windshield when the bed is empty.

And either way, I need to know where to source parts for this so I can give him some kind of budget to get it done with. | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 7 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 7 | FWIW, a hydroboost setup wouldn't be a big deal to install if need be, we have a '55-56 1-ton that once had a plow on it from which I can source a 6-cyl pump setup; although who knows what shape that is in, as that old tow truck looks like it was ridden hard, put away wet, and then left to sit for 30 years. | | |
