The reproductions do not have the riser cast to them like the originals, that is to allow the same castings to work on Chevrolet and GMC. The originals were engine specific.

Back in 1963 I had a '60 Biscayne and ordered a dual exhaust kit
from Sears Roebuck & Company. The came with the exhaust and
tail pipes, mufflers, hangers and a set of Fenton headers. The
heat riser was tubes that were piped into the plate that bolted
to the bottom of the intake just like the ones they are selling
today.

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 224 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 224 | I want get the motor til next Sunday ,this one has no tubes one of them bolts to the bottom of intake just like the stock one , I;ve seen pics. of them but never in person if you google " Fenton headers with heat riser" you'll see one ....I will post pics. when I get it ....the headers was the kikker on buying the motor .
I guess they are worth what you can get for them ....

How ever the exaust manifole is not a Fenton . my first post I said the heat riser was on the front one . On Fentons the heat riser is on the back one ...It turns out its a 1954 Corvette #3836108 . Some times I see things and I don't look very good ....(I was in a great hurry)

It's worth twice as much as the fenton and more desirable too.
