Hello everybody,

Just wanted to introduce myself and my new(to me), 194? Canadian 1.5t Chevy C.O.E.

Picked it up a couple of days ago and am looking for info on getting it running and driving.

Cleaned out the carb and fuel system, now i need to figure out why the starter doesn't engage the ring gear, but I'll post those questions in the appropriate forum.

A little info about me:

I'm 29yrs old and am self employed building electric remote control drives for farm equipment, and doing some construction. I also fabricate what ever else people will pay me to build.

I've spent the last 4yrs restoring a 1920 balloon frame 2story kit house (possibly an eatons home), and am now getting into building vintage styled metal and wood furniture.

I've been working on cars since I was 6yrs old, but this is the oldest vehicle I've ever tried to work on, and since it is also the oldest my Dad has touched we are both a bit confused with some of the more unique features Haha!

My Cab over has a perfect patina but needs some work before it will be a fun driver.

Welcome. Is your COE an art deco or advance design? (early or late 40's?) Looks like a good variety of vehicles, with no Fords in the mix. Sure would like to see a pic or two.

I was told it is a '42 but i haven't confirmed that yet, it does look like a an early '40's truck though and has the lights on top of the fenders.

I would like to get some pics on the site soon.

Haha! I haven't owned a ford yet, don't hate them but just don't sell much that I'm interested in:)

Welcome Shortnose We hauled a 46 Gmc 3/4 ton home from Nipawin after my mother in laws family reunion south of you a few years ago. My wife has cousins farming near Wawota . The folk here are a fantastic resource especially for something as scarce as a COE.
