Hi Folks
Long time since the last posting. Anyway we are about to ship the 59 LCF over the pond. Before shipping we thought it would be a good idea to change the tires. We tried to get hold of second hand 22.5 6 lug bud tires since ours are 20 inches we don't know if it's widow makers or not nor can we find our since we are 1000s of miles away.
Anyways we have looked at
http://www.tires-easy.com/ and there are 9" Hankook AH11, for 333, there is also cheaper Akuret Cargo Highway. There is also Maxxis tires but I can't find a price for their ur288 9R20 tires.
Question is what width we should have to our 20". You would have to assume that it's the standard size 20" rims for that 59 LCF series 50.
We aren't going to drive the truck much. It will be used as car transporter when finished. Since you basically need a CDL for anything over 3.5 tons in Europe this one will be registered as a motorized machine limiting the speed your allowed to drive to 30mph but drivable on a normal license (yes of course you will drive faster most likely around 45mph). What I'm trying to tell is that it will have both limited use and limited speed so we aren't in need of super high quality tires but on the other hand they should not fail just looking at them.
What is your thoughts?
Sincerely Dyna
PS: We found a set of 22.5 , 6" wide bud rims, but this sounds narrow to me.
PS: Yes price is a major issue since we are shipping aint cheap so little money left for tires.
