Hi again guys!!

The rainy season is approaching me quickly here in Northern California, and I was looking into getting the wiper system working on my '57 3100.

I researched a bit on here, and it turns out I'm lucky enough to have a factory electric wiper in there, but I just wanted to make sure of a couple things.

I only see one wire, is that correct and does it go to a constant 12 volts, or a switched 12 volts?

Also, it is the cable that switches it on, or does the cable simply select a speed?

Simple questions, but if the motor isn't fried already, I don't want to do it accidently.

the wire goes to a fused 12V, the cable runs a switch on the unit that is off/low/high - ground is the mounting

It's a pretty simple motor. the issue I had with the one out of my '56 was the cable was solidly corroded and it took a lot of time soaking in Sea Foam to get it to move again. still a little sticky but it works!
May not hurt to pull the motor out and clean up the switch plate and lubricate it tho, the grease on mine was dried out. Pretty easy task if you dont have a radio in there, spring clips hold the push/pull on the motor arm, take out 4 screws, and there ya have it.
