For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 219 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 219 | Hello,
Does anyone have any RPO code sheets for 1959 task force trucks?
I have found everything up to 1957 and everything after 1961 and no where is there a mention of the code I am looking for.
I am looking for RPO-735D
Any Info is appreciated | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | slightly different: "A" = solid color, with the lack of the "A" meaning 2 tone, any other letter indicates truck model, with "D" meaning it was a standard cab model [not deluxe cab or fleetside], and the Baltic Blue would have been the "L"ower color

What does lower mean? Is that below the belt line or below the window line? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | lower and upper differentiate the 2 colors, but the 2 tone patterns vary, most TF 2 tones were split at the feature line, but there was also different treatments above the window line including everything one color except the top of the roof, look thru the gallery at 55-59's to see various patterns, my 58 has one pattern [from a factory foto] , but sometimes the roof above the drip rail might be the light color as well, I've never seen any real documentation other than advertising pictures Bill | | | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 219 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 219 | Bill,
Thanks for all the info, that is a beautiful truck you have. I have everything above the window line in bombay white. Seems like I won't know for sure what my truck came with, without a build sheet. | | |
