Ever once on a while one needs to do something like this to convince oneself that progress is being made. Of course I'm sure it set you back something like $3,000. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 3,608 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 3,608 | Looks good, But, I count eleven new tires? 1967 GMC 9500 Fire Ladder Truck"The Flag Pole"In the Stovebolt Gallery1946 2-Ton grain truck 1946 3/4-ton pickup, 1953 1-ton pickup 1957 1-ton flatbed dually, 1954 Pontiac Straight Eight Of all the things I've lost in my life, I miss my mind the most! | | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 413 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 413 | looks great! Im guessing those wern't cheap . Other than rebuilding the engine, that's probably one of the most expensive things that gets done on the bigger trucks. That's something I need to look into once I get my frame done, & the axles & suspension put back on. It's all time & money. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 402 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 402 | 2-Ton, look on the rear left side front behind the hitch.. no tire. 10 new boots..lol http://s1055.photobucket.com/user/baldybenny/library/ 1936 1.5 wrecker,1937 gmc coe,1939 Chevrolet coe,1942 4x4 coe, 1942 coe,1946 dump,1947 2 ton dump, another 1947 2 ton dump,1950 coe,1967 c30,1937 cat 22,1936 Chevrolet 5 window foremans coupe, 1914 ford speedster.

He said I'd be to old to drive it if I waited to buy tires for it....I love the smell of new rubber in the morning.....Rick. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 872 | Thank the CCKW Gods that you didn't get NDTs. They look great, but are the absolute worst tires for pavement. They look good. Tubes and all were well over $3k.... I know how you feel. I have to shoe a G506 (7 tires) and a CCKW (11 Tires). No one gives discounts, either Ever consider 9.00x20s? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 170 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 170 | Pfarber, how are you?, I could have put on 9.00's and I wish I kind of did now there's room. These are 8.25x20 Pacifica's from Les Schwab. Good tires from what I've heard. They broke down and got rid of all 10 old tires for free, and when you put in sand blasting all the rims and painting them, it's big bucks. But worth every penny to see it rolling again. The smell of all that new rubber is intoxicating to say the least. Hey if you need any G506 stuff, PM me, my brother and I are sitting on some things. I see quite a few of them on over the road. I have some on my old jalopies as well as a loader and a forklift. I have done business with these guys and I have picked up their place. They are just a little bit south of where my bulk trailers are built in Lincoln. I buy all my over the road tires through my Michelin national account. But they don't build these sizes any more. http://www.nebraskatire.com/truck | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 | For us that LOVE WW-2 Trucks-check this out...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGPoZ4QzkkM
